This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d). The Naval Air System Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) intends to award a contract to Sikorsky, A Lockheed Martin Company, 6900 Main Street, P.O. Box 9731, Stratford, CT. 06614 for the procurement of a SCHID Software Configuration Change to correct the Software versions. Sikorsky will process and review Government Furnished Information containing supplier software documentation and NAVAIR Engineering integration test report conducted at the NAVAIR Portable Systems Integration Lab to support authorization to incorporate into the production aircraft configuration. This procurement will be awarded on a sole source basis to Sikorsky. Sikorsky is the designer, developer, and sole producer of the CH-53K® aircraft and is the only known contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data able to provide the required level of supplies and services in support of the CH-53K® program. The Government does not possess adequate license rights to the required technical data package necessary to support a competitive procurement to fulfill the requirement herein. As a result, only Sikorsky has the unrestricted totality of technical data, unique engineering support experience, and detailed knowledge of the CH-53K® to meet the USN-s requirements.
