Vendor needs to provide managed services for transit master AWS environment.
- To provide 24/7 monitoring and support for two components of the new AWS-hosted system
- The first component is a Microsoft Windows Failover database cluster
- The second component is a two-node application server configuration with shared single interface
- The dispatching application will be comprised of several AWS servers that are networked to on-premise hardware, and to components on buses
- The application and database servers support live dispatching of vehicles, and so their continuous uptime is vital.
- Microsoft Windows Failover SQL Database Clustering:
- The database uses Microsoft Windows Failover clustering
- Two node Application Server with shared single interface, manual failover:
- The application server is not clustered but uses two Windows servers in an active-passive configuration
- Provide 24-hour 365-days-a-year response to alerts.
