The International Finance Corporation (“IFC”) isthe largest global development institution that is focused exclusively on theprivate sector.IFC-s client, a food products company operating across theMiddle East, is exploring the potential expansion of its manufacturingoperations to Central and Southern Iraq through the construction of a dairyproducts, ice cream, or tomato paste processing factory (the “Project”).The Project aims to establish local productionof affordable food products for the Iraqi market while contributing to thecountry-s import substitution efforts.IFC is seeking to commission a detailed and targeted marketassessment of the food processing sector in Iraq, notably dairy products, icecream, and tomato paste, and with a focus on Central and Southern Iraq. Thismarket assessment will inform an upcoming feasibility study and enable athorough analysis of the Project-s commercial viability, profitability, andbusiness plan.
