For the performance of its duties, RWS needs information about the condition of the area she managed. This includes information about the flow rate, flow direction and flow in the large rivers, lakes and the North Sea. RWS uses this information for the implementation of the primary processes of water management and shipping traffic management. The Central Information Provision (RWS CIV) RWS Service provides this information through its own measurements with measuring ships or measuring setups in the water. Team Instruments of the CIV takes care of the availability of the sensors within RWS. RWS is currently using different types of ADCP's from Teledyne RD Instruments. This market consultation serves in preparation for the intended tender to purchase the delivery and maintenance of ADCPs. These sensors will replace the current sensors.
