BC cancer research centre intends to purchase high-throughput metabolomics platform services for analyzing plasma samples from Metabolon. The purchase of the service is to ensure the comparability of data from samples from BC Cancer with that of the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA), the grant funding this purchase requires that the identical assays be conducted by the same provider, using exact same protocols, instruments, and internal controls. Metabolon, Inc. is the sole provider meeting these rigorous criteria. No other metabolomics provider can perform this work.
