The International FinanceCorporation (“IFC”) and MetroBus S.A. (“MetroBus”), a subsidiary of Grupo SIR, anestablished and leading Mozambican provider of intermodal transport services inthe Metropolitan Area Maputo (“MAM”) in Mozambique, are seeking a consultant firmto conduct an assessment to understand MetroBus- expansion plan viability, feasibility, and sustainability. The consultant will be responsible foranalyzing and evaluating various proposed aspects detailed in the projectplan-s technical and commercial viability, as well as analyzing the risks forsuccessful project implementation (e.g., technical, financial, regulatory, environmental, and climate risks). Key Responsibilities:· EvaluateMetroBus- business plan with a special focus on:- Demandanalysis and route selection.- Operationalcapabilities.- TechnicalFeasibility Assessment.- RegulatoryAssessment.- FinancialAssessment.- ContractualGuidance.- Assessmentof Lessons Learned from the operation of pilot e-buses.· Performsite visits, conduct technical data analysis and review studies done by theclient, and assess infrastructure and equipment requirements.· Highlightkey risks and potential mitigants to the proposed project.· Ifnecessary, originate new data needed to complement the assessment. · Basedon the above evaluation, provide an assessment with recommendations at thetechnical and commercial levels that will inform MetroBus and IFC regarding theexpansion plan viability.· Preparecomprehensive reports and presentations. Requirements:· Extensiveexperience in the assignment field (urban transports, e-mobility) and logisticsand engineering design and operations, preferably with experience in Africa.· Familiaritywith road and railway assessments.· Financialmodeling skills in the infrastructure sector.· Previousexperience in Africa is preferred.· Thefirm should comply with the eligibility criteria outlined in the World Bankprocurement regulations, including not being engaged in conflicting assignmentsand not being s...
