An advanced Micro X-ray Fluorescence (μXRF) system, capable of obtaining high-quality elemental images and spectra appropriate for a wide range of materials science and engineering applications is required. This system is expected to work in concert with a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) already housed in the lab, to provide collaborative information provided by electron-induced energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDS). The budget for the project is $250, 000 CAD including optional CFI gift in-kind, plus HST.
