Móahverfi is a new residential area in Akureyri located southwest of Borgarbraut and northwest of the existing residential area in Giljahverfi and southwest of Síðuhverfi. The planning area is about 45 ha and the plot boundaries bound the area at Urðargil, Vestursíða and Borgarsíða in the east, continuation of Sídubraut in the northwest and by the 100 m height line in the southwest. Móahverfi is organized with a mix of apartment buildings and detached houses. The valid regional planning plan for Móahverfi can be obtained from the Planning Agency's website Móahverfi Regional Planning Phase A of the project, therefore contains approx. 3 km of streets and sidewalks, about 2 km of footpaths, and associated sewage and drinking water pipes, together with pipes for heating, electricity, and telecommunications.
