MOOS Biomonitoring 2025 To estimate the deposition of air pollutants: To monitor the deposition of heavy metals and other pollutants entered via atmospheric deposition, a Europe -wide organic monitoring based on mosses is regularly carried out as part of the Air Course (Geneva Run Convention). Switzerland has been participating in this investigation every 5 years since 1990. D goals of the 2025 survey are:- Quantitative determination of the content of (heavy) metals, nitrogen, nitrogen as well as selected PAK and PCB in mosses of representative source. Temporary development of deposition values since 1990 with regard to the success of success of realized emission reductions.
