BackgroundThe Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) is the organization with DND responsible for a wide range of missions and tasks in response to a variety of threats. The operational environment is often complex and dynamic. CAF operators may be required to operate in locations anywhere in the world and perform a wide variety of tasks employing difference types of equipment, tools, tactics and procedures. Previously, the CAF has conducted this training on a task by task basis in various locations however, this is time consuming and results in increased costs.
