THE DELIVERABLES
The requested Multi-Quadrupole Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) to measure single size nanoparticles, to characterize α-olefins produced from microalgae derived bio-oils and analyze additives in various polymeric materials; measure trace metals and speciation of metalloid-s; and accurately quantify unknown proteins and peptides, sulfur and phosphorus hetero elements accurately at low concentrations.
STATEMENT OF WORK
Background Requirements-Specifications and Environment
The requested Multi-Quadrupole ICP-MS is a critical piece of equipment required for analysis and quantification of the chemical composition of polymer samples within a matrix of other materials for both the physic-chemical and toxicological fate of sustainable polymers and plastics. This includes, but is not limited to, measuring toxic elements that have adsorbed onto microplastics, characterizing α-olefins produced from microalgae derived bio-oils, analyzing additives in various polymeric materials, performing the analysis of single nanoparticles in various sample matrices, As and Hg speciation, quantification of unknown proteins and peptides, sulfur and phosphorus hetero elements in human specimens, and lead isotope ratios in environmental samples.
The Multi-Quadrupole-ICP-MS instrument will be capable of measuring single nanoparticles, α-olefins produced from microalgae speciation, and accurately quantify unknown proteins and peptides, sul...
