Tenders are invited for Municipal Spatial Data Infrastructure (MSDI) implementation in Amman; Jordan

The main objective of this consultancy is to assist the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) and other relevant stakeholders in implementing Municipal Spatial Data Infrastructure (MSDI). MSDI is a framework that enables the collection; management; sharing; and use of geospatial data for urban planning and management. The consultancy firm should utilize City Planning Labs (CPL) methodology; which is an initiative that helps manage and maintain geospatial data through interventions across its agile and scalable four-pillared IPDS framework (Institutional Arrangements; People; Data; Systems). CPL's methodology includes full technical guidance and training content with open access toolkits; to ensure the long-term sustainability of an integrated MSDI in Amman. With proper implementation; this technical assistance will institutionalize evidence-based decision-making for urban planning and management; ultimately improving the delivery and accessibility of municipal services.The proposed work will be done through a series of tasks. These tasks include conducting a Geospatial Data inventory; conducting an MSDI Capacity and Readiness Assessment; developing a Roadmap; and providing Capacity Building through training and technical assistance.
