UNDP Vietnam is looking for a qualified National Coordinator to monitor deployment of low-cost air quality sensors. Duty station: Hanoi.Period of assignment/services: From 7 April 2025 - 30 July 2025 (17 working days) Air pollution poses a significant developmental and public health challengeglobally, particularly in Vietnam, where major cities like Hanoi face some of the worst air quality levels in Asia. UNDP, in collaboration with local partners, seeks to implement a pilot project deploying low-cost air quality sensors to enhance data collection, inform policy, and engage communitiesin air quality management. This pilot aligns with the UNDP Global Centre's Innovation Challenge, which seeks hyperlocal, low-cost, and scalable air quality monitoring solutions. The initiative aims to strengthen monitoring networks, identify pollution hotspots, and foster community engagement.The pilot phase will involve deploying these solutions in a selected city or district in Vietnam, leveraging local expertise and partnerships for successful implementation.The objective of this consultancy is to: 1. Facilitate the deployment of low-cost air quality sensors in the selected pilotlocation. 2. Engage stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and buy-in to ensure smooth running of pilot trial 3.
