The new construction of the federal highway A 26, Stade - Hamburg, construction phase 4 (Lower Saxony / Hamburg to A 7) is to be realized by the VKE 706 traffic unit. Together with the Dutch section 4a of the A 26, the gap between theState border Lower Saxony/Hamburg and the Dutch AS Neu Wulmstorf reached and a traffic -effective unit was formed.
In the port part west of the Suederelbe (Westhafen), two thirds of all rail traffic are handled by and to the port of Hamburg. The Westhafen is over that of the VZG panel1253 Hamburg (HMB) Hausbruch (KM 9.5+54) according to HMB Waltershof (KM 15.7+90) to the Netz of DB -Netz AG in the area of house break.
At Bau -KM 0+590 (BAB A26 - west of A 7) The new federal highway A 26 crosses the two -track feed line of the Hafenbahn Hausbruch - Waltershof (approx. KM 12.235)and two pull -out tracks of the old Suederelbe railway part. The underpass of the A 26 is to be carried out as a trough / rectangular tunnel (BW K26.15). The tunnel length is approx. 180 m, the total length of the building approx. 335 m.
