New Plymouth District CouncilThe New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) aims to restore the hydraulic capacity of the pipelines that convey water from Lake Mangamahoe the New Plymouth Water Treatment Plant (NPWTP). Previous investigations have identified sediment accumulation in the pipelines, which is adversely affecting their hydraulic performance. Our aim is to determine an effective process to successfully remove the sediment from the pipelines and identify any feasible necessary modification or alteration or access points as required. This will be done while minimising ecological disruption, preventing sediment migration, and adhering to health and safety protocols. We are running this procurement process as a 2-stage Early Contractor Involvement (ECI). We want our chosen partner to be involved early in the process Stage 1 Determine an effective process and identify any necessary modifications, alterations, or access points required to successfully remove the sediment from the pipelines. Stage 2 Execute the determined methodology to successfully remove the sediment from the pipelines. This notice was published directly via the New Plymouth District Council E-Tendering portal.
