PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract, on a sole-source basis to Thermo Fisher Scientific, located at 6055 Sunol Blvd., Pleasanton, CA. 94566, for the purchase of Two (2) 3500xL Genetic Analyzers for Human Identification and on-site support. The Government intends to negotiate with only one (1) source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.

This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration-s System for Awards Management website, SAM.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the SAM.gov website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, and the Product Service Code (PSC) is 6640, Laboratory Equipment and Supplies.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, per FAR 5.207(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
