Notice of Intent: Sole Source Award



The National Institutes of Health (NIH/OLAO), hereby gives notice of its intent to award a sole source contract to Plexon, Inc, located at 6500 Greenville Avenue, suite 730, Dallas, Tx 75206 for the purchase of the following items:



Headstages and cables (assorted): connect recording devices to the data acquisition system Multi-electrode arrays and assemblies (14): these have 256-1024 channels each and are reusable per rig (i.e. not disposable items) Acquisition and analysis software (6): Brand-specific software and licenses for installation on data acquisition PCs Brand specific overhead camera system (1) with assorted assembly parts Optogenetics systems (3) and associated parts

This is not a request for competitive proposals. Potential sources who believe they can provide the service listed above are invited to submit a capability package in writing to Contract Specialist, Ms. Van Holley at holleyv@od.nih.gov no later than 9:00 AM ET on Friday, April 18, 2025.



Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The Government will not cover any costs for any information or inquiry submitted as a result of this notice.



The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is : 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 1, 000 employees.



Responses shall include, at a minimum, the following information:
