Notice of Intent to Sole Source

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE NON-PERSONAL SERVICES CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Technology Procurement Section (TPS), intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price support and maintenance services contract for RadPRO SecurPASS Full Body Security Screening Systems in accordance with the requirements prescribed in Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 13.501(a) - Sole source acquisitions, for the acquisitions of commercial products and commercial services conducted pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.5.

The objective of this sole source award is to procure non-personal services to perform support and maintenance services for existing RadPRO SecurPASS Full Body Security Screening System contraband detection systems. This system is a full body security screening system that, through the use of low-dose x-ray imaging, identifies and prevents inmates from carrying illegal substances and weapons, either externally or internally, into the facilities. SecurPASS also profiles and tracks each inmate-s exposure to the x-rays to ensure compliance with the American National Standards Institute-s (ANSI) regulations. The anticipated period of performance is for one year (10/01/2023 - 09/30/2024).

The work shall be performed at 67 existing Federal Prison locations throughout the United States.
