Description
This is a notice of intent, NOT a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will NOT be issued, and quotations will NOT be requested.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to issue a fixed-price purchase order to Acupuncture & Natural Medicine LLC (Dr. Gang Peng) for acupuncture services within the Pain and Palliative Care Services Department for a base period April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, and four option periods.
The Pain and Palliative Care Services Department requires an acupuncturist to fulfill a critical role in patient care. There are no other known acupuncturist-s available with the depth of experience and specialized knowledge required for this position. The necessary candidate must hold a valid state license to practice acupuncture in Maryland, its territories, a U.S. commonwealth, or the District of Columbia. The service provider must be in good standing with the state licensure board, have no history of felony convictions, be CPR certified, and provide their own malpractice insurance.
Dr. Peng is uniquely qualified with extensive experience treating patients with advanced and/or rare illnesses, many of whom are undergoing experimental treatments as part of early-phase clinical trials, additionally holding specialized certifications or training in acupuncture research, pain management, integrative medicine, or condition-specific applications of acupuncture are preferred.
