NOTICE TO VENDORS: To All Vendors:
This is a Notice of a planned procurement.
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy (the “Ministry”) intends to release in the coming months a procurement (Request for Standing Arrangement) to develop a list of qualified contractors with the capability and capacity to respond and remediate small, medium and large spill events involving one or more substances classified under the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, SOR/2001-286).
The Ministry will be seeking to create a list of qualified contractors to provide services on an as and when requested basis for the spills involving different substance classifications and different regions in British Columbia.
The Ministry will be seeking to qualify general contractors with the experience and the capacity necessary to take conduct of the above noted spills including all the spill response activities that could include material identification, planning, and remediation. The Ministry requires contractors to carry out the spill response activities with a focus on safety and an awareness of First Nations and other specific local community considerations.
Any vendors who only have experience and capability to provide some of the services should consider working with general contractors in a subcontractor capacity.
