Over the next few years, SWR's entire production technology will have to be converted to the new technologies. By pooling central functional components and the possibility of flexibly combining studios and control rooms, utilization should be optimized and personneluse can be reduced. The long-term goals of connecting studios and control rooms across locations and being able to work with a local control center for external broadcasts must also be achieved. This requires modern Media over IP networks (MoIP). On the projectThe "partial renewal of departments C and D" at the Stuttgart and Mainz locations is intended to take the digital transformation idea into account through the use of IP-based technology in order to be compatible later, when the main components at the locations have also been migrated. It's okayin order to ensure that the standardization of technology and workflows across all locations can be initiated right from the start.
The aim of this tender is to identify a suitable contractor who is able to prepare the renewals described in these documentsen, to provide the necessary delivery and assembly services, as well as to integrate them into the premises of both locations and finally put them into operation together with the SWR.
