The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations/Marine Operations Center The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) operates a fleet of oceanographic research ships that perform Oceanographic Survey, Hydrographic Survey, and Fisheries Survey missions. The Command, Coordination, and Operations of these ships is managed from strategically placed shore stations.
