Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.Scope of Work5-Year External 150, 000-gallon API 653 Aboveground Storage Tank and API 570 Piping InspectionPage 2 of 2Page 2 of 2STATEMENT OF WORKIn accordance with the Federal and State regulations for the management of Atmospheric Petroleum storage tanks (See 40 CFR 112), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and all applicable industry standards, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Perry Point VA Medical Center (VAMC) Campus field-erected boiler plant tank [150, 000 gallon American Petroleum Institute (API) 650 tank erected in 1979] requires a 3rd party API 653 tank inspection and API 570 piping inspection by a 3rd party inspector(s) with the following certifications:Required:API-accredited API 653 tank inspector API 570 accredited inspector Preferred: Society for Non-destructive Testing (SNT)-TC-1A accredited Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)-field engineering personnel. National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE)-accredited corrosion engineering personnel Maryland Professional Engineer (P.E) Â This inspection is required of field-erected tanks every 5 years by law. API is the major design code for welded, atmospheric tanks.
