DFAT is calling for expressions of interest for a managing contractor to support the delivery of the next iteration of Australia-s support to the Government of the Philippines (GoPH) on social protection together with enhanced partnerships on gender equality, disability, and Indigenous inclusion. Drawing on Australia-s long-standing development partnership with GoPH, DFAT will implement an eight-year multi-sector investment to reduce poverty and inequality, and enhance resilience and prosperity for all Filipinos. The proposed Social Protection, Inclusion and Gender equality (SPRING) program will be valued at a total of AUD65 million over eight years, with an initial investment of AUD40 million for five years, and an extension value of AUD25 million for three years contingent on a mid-term review and DFAT-s decision to extend the program. The investment will be the Philippines program-s primary avenue for supporting poverty reduction and bilateral funding on gender equality and social inclusion at the national level and with some select Local Government Units (LGUs). SPRING will support efforts under Australia-s new International Development Policy and our forthcoming new strategies on gender equality, disability equity and rights, and translate these into implementation in the Philippines.
