While Visual Inspections Of Many Assets Were Undertaken Prior To Transfer Of Responsibility, The Structural Integrity And Remaining Useful Life Of Steel Network/Consumer Poles And Bulk Fuel Storage Tanks In Remote Communities Remain Unknown And May Pose A Risk To Horizon Power And Its Customers. Pole And Fuel Tank Failures May Lead To Safety, Health And Environmental Issues, Prolonged Outages And Non-Compliance.Understanding The Structural Integrity And Status Of The Existing Poles And Fuel Tank Will Inform Optimisation Of Asset Lifecycle Costs While Maintaining An Acceptable Safety And Reliability Risk Profile For Horizon Power.
