The goal of Selkopolu is to get the customer employed, to start training or a work trial, and to update job search skills.
The goal is to help the customer find both a long-term and a short-term solution in those situations where current skills or work experience are not sufficient for the goalto reach ti quickly. In this case, the client is guided to find a job, work trial or other solution that develops skills, while giving the client the skills to apply for solutions that support employment in the target profession in the longer term.

The target group is the customers of the Uusimaa TE office and municipal employment trials who have a need for services, a valid job search and sufficient Finnish language skills to participate in the service. Adequate knowledge of the Finnish language tensures that the customer is able to participate in the service independently and his language proficiency level is at least level A2.1 Customers must have sufficient reading and writing skills in the Latin alphabet. Finnish language skills can vary by language skill area (e.g. stronger written language skillsthan oral or vice versa), with general language skills at least at level A2.1. Customers' IT skills and previous experience working online can vary a lot.
