NID needs a laboratory management system that is adapted to them and the contracting authorities' needs. The system will be used to process requests for laboratory tests, documentation of tests, and outgoing reports to the contracting authority. The procured system must be delivered and operated by the tenderer as a Software as a Service (SaaS) system. In addition we need the procured system to have integration with NID's archive system so that the reports can be archived. The tenderer will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the system and underlying infrastructure. In addition the tenderer will be responsible for system upgrades. We have chosen to carry out a market survey (RFI) in order to find out if there is a sufficiently large market in the EU/EEA and approved third countries so that we can limit the contest to this market.
