The Landshut mechanical engineering school with a vocational school for mechanical engineering and a technical school for mechanical engineering and mechatronics technology currently has two functioning industrial robots. Comprehensive training with only two robots is not organizationally feasible. Because the acquisition costsfor industrial robots with appropriate safety devices, the school is looking for a robotics concept that enables training with inexpensive small robots that enables both basic teaching (BFS) and in-depth programming (technicians).
