As part of its Virtual Nursing in Aged Care Project, the Department is seeking one or multiple suppliers to deliver a virtual nursing service to approximately 30 residential aged care homes. The Department is not seeking Supplier/s to develop digital assistive technology (e.g., fall-monitoring technology), gaming technology, virtual reality, or remote technology devices (e.g., heart rate monitors). The Successful Supplier/s will be responsible for delivering person-centred care through telehealth (video conferencing) consultations. Telehealth, in the residential aged care context, will be delivered in the following ways : Resident-end : The resident at the residential aged care home, either in their room or in a private room at the residential aged care home. They may be accompanied at the resident-end by any combination of family or carer, selected support person, General Practitioner, nurse, personal care worker, Aboriginal Health Worker, or allied health provider. Remote-end : A nurse practitioner or registered nurse providing the telehealth consultation to the resident, who is not located at the same place as the resident. They may be located at their home in a room to ensure privacy, or an appropriate office space which can also maintain privacy.
