Description : Fresh Produce, Vegetables, Fruits, prepared salad type products & Whole Shell Eggs for Ward meal preparation at the Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility. Hawaii Products Preference: in accordance This solicitation is for Fresh Produce for the period specified in the Length of the Contract. All responding vendors should view "Download Instructions for Attachments", under Solicitation Instructions. Please review the attachment (Act 175 for fresh produce.doc), stating that this solicitation is in accordance with ACT 175 for Hawaii Product List preference. This RFQ will allow price adjustment(s) for product(s) with justification, after the start of the contract period. After each two week period, the adjusted price(s) will "Default" back to the bid price(s), unless another request for adjustment (and justification) is submitted. All price adjustment must be in written form noting the reason(s) for the request. All justification(s) will be reviewed and subject to confirmation from national or state media. In instances of "Natural" or "Man-Made" circumstances which cannot be controlled, "Emergency" price adjustment(s) may be made for product(s) affected by such acts. All price adjustments must be submitted in written form with justification/attachments. All responding vendors will have proper safe food handling certificates issued either by a third party audit or state agency. Preference will be given to responding vendors with temperature controlled loading and staging...
