The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), on behalf of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) invites qualified interested firms to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming solicitation for project monitoring and reporting of adaptation outcomes at project and national government level in the area of climate change adaptation. UN Environment works with 30 developing countries in implementing climate change adaptation projects. UNEP is looking for a contractor to strengthen the monitoring and reporting of project level adaptation outcomes. Key skills required include demonstrated experience in project monitoring and evaluations work as well as experience in the area of climate change adaptation. Some of the expected outcome, outputs and activities are; • Develop baseline values for project results frameworks• Develop the methodology for establishing baseline values for all Outcome and output indicators in the project strategy• Measurement of progress against the baseline towards project targets at mid-term and end of project• Design the survey tools (e.g. gender-sensitive household level benefit assessment survey) to assess project's benefits to beneficiaries; and document sampling strategy to be adopted• Conduct country-level training on the application of the National Adaptation Monitoring Framework, centered on training of trainer (ToT) approach and comprising of a five-day in-residence training for 20 participants.
