Destination Ontario, an Agency of the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming, invites proposals for the provision of Ontario tourism in-market representation in Japan to maximize consumer visits and spending to the Province of Ontario. The in-market Service Provider will be instrumental in the development of new marketing and promotional opportunities with key tourism partners, to strengthen the profile and position of Ontario Tourism in Japan. A sample of these opportunities include developing and implementing promotional opportunities with Destination Canada, airlines, non-traditional partners and travel trade operators, updating the Japan website, developing new product with tour operators, training travel agents, sharing Ontario travel news with influencers, pitching story ideas to media influencers to generate coverage and coordinating travel trade and media familiarization tours. Scope of Work Destination Ontario wishes to acquire an experienced and knowledgeable In-Market Service Provider in Japan with suitable skills and experience to maximize consumer visits and spending to the Province of Ontario by: 1. Increasing the awareness of Ontario as a travel destination. 2. Strengthening relationships with influencers. 3. Taking advantage of in-market trends to give Ontario the necessary edge. 4. Contributing to the development and implementation of Destination Ontario-s marketing plan.
