The Ministry of the Solicitor General (the “Ministry”) on behalf of the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) is seeking a Vendor to supply and deliver a virtual reality simulation solution (Solution), and provide warranty, software and training to the OFM for deployment to the Ontario fire service. Scope of Work The Solution must provide the option to train on both a physical virtual reality headset, but also be built to accommodate those fire departments that would rather deploy the technology on a tablet or laptop. The Solution must be able to accommodate at least ten (10) different scenarios, all with a focus on firefighter response tactics and variable situations that would create challenges and opportunities for firefighters to learn about the dangers associated with lithium-ion battery related fires. The Solution must be designed and capable of being deployed across a minimum of ten (10) individual headsets. The Solution is expected to be deployed through the Ontario Fire College, but individual fire departments is expected to have access to the Solution to utilize on their own virtual reality headsets.
