Establishing a contract with a service provider in the area of English language editing and proofreading in order to improve the linguistic style, accuracy and clarity of EBA outputs. • Proofreading comprises of reviewing spelling, grammar, syntax and correct usage of terminology, applying the EBA writing style guidelines as well as the conventions of the EU Interinstitutional Style Guide, checking the accuracy and consistency of references throughout the document and ensuring a consistent structure of chapters and sections. • Editing includes all aspects of proofreading (detailed above), while extending to task of the enhancement of the content-s coherence, clarity, and readability. This comprises of refining the structure of the text by rephrasing or reorganising it, eliminating redundancies, addressing ambiguities, and, when necessary, suggesting the inclusion, removal, or restructuring of entire sections of a draft, to better convey the intended message with precision and impact.
