A new, barrier-free and attractive train station will be built in Ried im Innkreis by the end of 2029 to increase customer satisfaction and quality of stay. The measures in the preliminary construction section also include the adaptation/renovation of an existing operational building approx. km 21.4 to the left of the railway. TheThe existing "railway master's building" will be adapted to the new requirements and thermally renovated. Furthermore, the production of remote controllability and the construction of a new technical building in Ried.
Located at km 21.26 to the right of the railway, the OeBB route Neumarkt-Kallham - state border near Braunau amInn and is located immediately after the bridge over the L143-Ried-Eberschwang. There is currently a house with an outbuilding on the site that is being demolished. The signal box is reached via the existing access via the L143.
In addition, the construction of dthree new technical buildings (Gurten (km 35.37), Obernberg-Altheim (km 42.3), Mining (km 48.95)) and on the Stainach-Irdning - Attnang-Puchheim route a new technical building (Pram-Haag (km 9.7)) is planned.
The conversion of the Ried im Innkreis train station is an important building block for a futurenfts-oriented route expansion of the entire Innkreisbahn.
