Defense for Children International (DCI) is an independent Palestinian civil society organization concerned with defending and promoting children-s rights in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.

The Society-s work within the occupied Palestinian territory is focused on monitoring, investigating and documenting violations of children-s rights, holding authorities accountable to international humanitarian law, international human rights law, and local laws, promoting children-s participation and building their capacities so that they can advocate for their rights, in addition to providing direct social and legal assistance to those who need it. Of children in distress, the association is strongly committed to respecting the highest ethical, moral and legal standards in protecting children from violence, abuse, neglect, and any assault that may occur to children or pose a threat to their lives.
