Provision of Emergency Water Trucking In Ashagow, Caragadud, Barey, Barahnoy, Misgaale, Lafaale &, Munawur Villages In Baidoa District, Bay Region, Somalia.
WASDA is a local humanitarian agency whose work aims at creating an enabling environment for marginalized communities to break the cycle of poverty and exclusion.
WASDA has been working with pastoral communities in Kenya and Somalia for the past 23 years.
WASDA with funding from SHF is implementing a life-saving response to 24, 500 drought-affected communities that are currently facing acute water shortage, lack sanitation facilities, hygiene items and hygiene information in various rural and IDP settlements in Baidoa district. The project proposes to respond to communities- equitable access to water, sanitation and hygiene services with the aim of improving communities' access to WASH services & overcoming drought-induced diseases, protection risks & water price on the majority of the population at risk of famine.
Through this, WASDA plans increasing equitable access to safe water, sanitation facilities & improved hygiene practices among the drought- affected communities at risk of famine in Baidoa District. As part of its program, WASDA plans to carry out Provision of Emergency Water Trucking in Baidoa district, Bay region, Somalia.
