IN ENGLISHThe United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), on behalf of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), wishes to to receive Expressions of Interest (EOI) for an Invitation to Bid that it intends to launch for the provision of merger and acquisitions data. UNCTAD requires an access to an up-to-date database to support its mission to provide ahead of the curve analysis of foreign direct investment (FDI) trends and activities of multinational enterprises (MNEs). Some of the core requirements sought for these services are:1) Data Quality: Data need to be consistent with historical series of M&A deals as already collected by the UNCTAD Division of Investment and Enterprise (DIAE) to allow a time series perspective and analysis of worldwide M&As. Data must be of high quality and updated expeditiously after the official release of information. Data should be comparable across transactions in terms of underlying methods, concepts and classifications.2) Data Sources: Should cover the most relevant data sources for a given statistical domain (e.g. national statistical offices, central banks, ministries of finance, international organisations and private instituti...
