The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations based in Rome, Italy, hereby solicits proposals for the Provision of Services related to the design of coordination and communication mechanisms of a new partnership/coalition between country andglobal-level food systems actors, for strengthened LIC participation to UN RBAs processes.IFAD currently hosts the Secretariat of the Global Donor Platform for Rural Development (GDPRD), a network of 40 bilateral and multilateral donors, international financial institutions, intergovernmentalorganizations, foundations and development agencies. Set up in 2003 following the first High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in 2002, it brings together donors who believe the best way to tackle global poverty and hunger is to develop agriculture, reshape food systems, and invest in rural communities.As part of the key workstreams of the GDPRD, the SDG2 Roadmap Working Group is an informal group of senior officials from different donor agencies that are active in agriculture and food and nutrition security. Under the leadership of the Co-Chairs (Gates Foundation and the U.S. Agency for InternationalDevelopment (USAID), the Group has decided to undertake a scoping exercise to explore options for strengthened Low Income Country (LIC) participation to UN Rome-based Agencies (RBAs) processes and improved coordination mechanisms between country- and global-level food systems actors.
