Tender Details

1. IntroductionThe United Nations Regional Office for Central Africa (UNOCA) is seeking expressions of interest from qualified companies to provide Third Party Liability Insurance for UN Vehicles Travelling in Libreville, Gabon. The Contract shall be established in Libreville where the UNOCA is deployed.2. Duration of the ContractThe Contract shall be for an initial period of 3 (three) years with the option of extension for 2 (two) additional years (1 1), subject to availability of funds, extension of UNOCA mandate and satisfactory performance of the Contractor.3. The Contractor shall provide services to UNOCA as required in accordance with requirement below:The Contractor shall provide UNOCA with Third Party liability insurance for UN vehicles that might be involved in any accident/incident that could render UNOCA liable for the costs of damage, injury to a third party involving UNOCA vehicles. The Third Party Liability Insurance shall cover every indemnity claim for damage caused by the use of a vehicle against which UNOCA is required to insure according to the current Gabonese traffic law, including (but not limited to) third party death, personal injury, medical care (transportation related to medical care and follow-up medical care), loss of use of a vehicle/equipment, car rental, loss of income and any other reasonable cost directly related to the accident for which a claim is submitted to UNOCA. The Contractor shall be required to outline the appropriate Third-Party Liability Insurance as required by the Laws of Gabon for all the country territory. The Contractor must indicate the levels of liability/compensation per occurrence for the various categories to be covered in Gabon. The Contractor must explicitly state the legal coverage applicable as per the limit of injury or death under the Laws of Gabon at the time of submission. Any increase or decrease in these limits as enforced by the laws of Gabon shall be automatically translated into the resulting regulations (if any). That is, if there is a decrease in compensation regulations, it must be translated into the premium as per terms and conditions of the contract.
