Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 is posting this notice of intent because it is anticipated that a short-term Psychiatry Physician Services contract will be awarded for the North Texas Veterans Healthcare System to Locumtenens.com, LLC. The contractor will continue to provide services for veteran beneficiaries of the VA North Texas Healthcare System (VANTHCS) Dallas VAMC 4500 S. Lancaster, Dallas, Tx 76216.This notice is for informational purposes only. Responses to this notice should be sent via email to Dewana Raynor at dewana.raynor@va.gov. No phone calls will be accepted. This is not a request for quote/proposal. Demonstration of the Contractor s Unique Qualifications or Nature of the Acquisition: The VA North Texas Healthcare System (VANTHCS) and Mental Health Service (MHS) has a need to maintain Psychiatry Physician Services for the Mental Health Consultation Liaison Team, Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, and Outpatient clinics. Psychiatrists shall perform services throughout VANTHCS via telehealth appointments, by telephone or VA Video Connect (VVC), at any of its ten (10) Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) locations and three (3) Medical Centers.Locumtenens.com, LLC. is currently providing these services. Due to the short timeframe Locumtenens.com, LLC. is the only practical source capable of providing continuity of services. Any change in contractor support at this time is not feasible as the process would require the new contractor to recruit and hire staffing, undergo VA background checks, and complete credentialing, which is not realistic given the time frame. Accordingly, Locumtenens.com, LLC is the only company capable of providing services without the Veteran s Health Administration experiencing unacceptable delays in fulfilling its requirements.
