The City of Pasadena is seeking a qualified Consultant to provide public engagement services for the Public Engagement for the Lake Avenue Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Project. This work aims to re-engage the community with the project and initiate engagement on the next design phase.The Consultant will be responsible for public engagement throughout design phase of the Lake Avenue Project. The Consultant will deliver a cohesive engagement strategy tailored to the specific needs of the project, ensuring public awareness of the project and next steps leading into construction.A successful approach will focus on reaching the North Lake Avenue community and fostering meaningful connections with the community, using innovative engagement methods to reach stakeholders who may not typically participate in traditional events. Ensuring broad and inclusive community involvement will be essential to the success of the public engagement effort.Relationship to City Planning Documents the General PlanThe City-s Mobility Element provides the overall policy framework for the public engagement for the project and transportation in the City.The public engagement effort is consistent with the Mobility Element Objective of Enhancing Livability through the following policies:Policy 1.7 - Design streets to achieve safe interaction for all modes of travel particularly for pedestrians and bicycle users.Policy 1.10 - Continuously evaluate the operation of the City-s transportation system to manage the speed of travel at or below the speed limit, manage queues at intersections and develop improvements to increase safety of all transportation services.Policy 1.11 - Design Streets to reflect the mobility needs of the adjacent land use context to support healthy activities such as walking and bicycling.
