Tenders are invited for GATEWAY - E3C2-004 -Radiation Protection Service Project: Astronaut Personal Dosimetry Hardware for Low Earth Orbit and Exploration Class Missions
The main objective of this activity is to enable end-to-end astronaut radiation protection capabilities within ESA, by developing, installing, and operating methods and tools for radiological mission support. Such capability is an essential element to adequately position Europe in the next space exploration frontiers utilizing European expertise and European tools such as ERFNet and ESA SpaceWeather to independently safeguard ESA-supported crewed missions to all the space destinations. The goal of this project is to design, develop, purchase, and qualify for flight active dosimeters (ESA Active Dosimeter, EAD) to serve ESA crew radiation protection operations in low earth orbit (ISS) and beyond (Artemis: Orion spacecraft and Gateway station) missions
