Description
The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237110 with a size standard of $45 Mil. This acquisition will be solicited as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 14 and 36. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between $250, 000 and $500, 000. Place of performance will be Clark County, Nevada.The National Park Service requires a contractor to repaint the inside of the concrete water tank at Las Vegas Bay inside Lake Mead National Recreation Area near Henderson, Nevada. Due to the deteriorated condition of the adjacent steel water tank, the steeltank will be taken offline, and the concrete tank will be put fully in service. Only one cell of theconcrete tank is currently in operation and the existing ductile iron pipes and valves have corroded.The last repainting of this concrete was done when it was built in 2001. The project would provide asustainable supply of raw water storage for irrigation and fire protection water. The concrete tank has 2 cells which require phasing of the work on one cell while keeping the other cell in service. The scope of work includes: draining the tank, removing cathodic protection system components, removing the existing paint, removal and stabilization of existing steel rusting steeltie-backs, removal and replacement of existing ductile iron valves and piping, repairing, paintinginterior of the concrete tank, refilling, disinfecting and performing water samples on the 150, 000gallon two cell partially buried concrete water storage tank. The existing valve vault with the valves and piping are located inside a confined entry space.
