Tenders are invited for Recruitment of Consultant for the Realization of the Road Safety Audit of the Project

Completion of the Project's Road Safety Audit - PTUA.

The services provided under this contract include road safety audit following the steps of road safety audit as recommended by the road safety manuals for Africa published by the Bank. The road safety audit will cover the infrastructure of the 4th bridge as well as all of the structuring roads planned under the project. The service provider's tasks must relate, among other things, to: (i) the description of the main visual information present in the environment contributing to facilitate driving of the
vehicle; (ii) the analysis of the timely perception of visual information, according to the speeds practiced to allow vulnerable users to adapt their behavior to the situations experienced; (iii) the analysis of the easy understanding of the road and its surroundings so that the user can quickly determine where he is, what direction to follow and predict what awaits him (vehicle and pedestrian maneuver, modifications to the characteristics of the infrastructure, etc.) in order to be able to adapt its
behavior accordingly; (iv) the analysis of the characteristics of the road allowing to minimize or avoid the risks of dynamic failure (skidding, overturning, etc.) or to recover in the event of a critical situation; (v) the description of the rigid obstacles
situated near the road which could contribute to the aggravation of the consequences of an accident; (vi) description of the slopes of the embankments (ditches, dykes, etc.) that could lead to collusion or cause overturning; (vii) the
