Expression of Interest are invited for Cote D Ivoire-Recruitment of a Consulting Firm to Conduct a Land Survey in the Area of Marcory,
Real estate represents 50 - 75% of national wealth and is fundamental to investment and economic growth. For this reason, IFC supports the Government of Cote d'Ivoire to secure and protect property rights, enable both urban and rural land to be better managed, and make land markets and other land-dependent markets function better.
IFC support will build on the government efforts on digitalization of property titles and will contribute towards (a) reducing the processing time for land property titling and registration from nine months to a maximum two months at the end of the project; (b) reducing the number of land disputes thus reducing the case load in the Supreme Court; (c) improving access to all land information for a given parcel with a unique identifier; and (d) improving the security of the land tenure by providing reliable information on legal ownership and cadastral information.
To achieve these objectives, the implementation of the unique identification number (IDUFCI) has been identified as a lever that will simplify the land titling process and improve land tenure security in Cote d Ivoire. Each land plot will be issued a unique ID which will be used in each land information system and help simplify land transaction process as all information for one parcel will be available using a unique number.
