Reduction Reduction Number of exposed and health effects through the implementation of measures road and rail traffic noise
The aim of this assignment is to evaluate a number of measures against noise nuisance on the basis of the strategic noise load cards for important roads and important railways with a reference year 2021. The effect on the sound exposure and the health effects (high degree of nuisance, high degree of sleep disturbance, ischemic heart disease) in Flanders must be calculated here. For this, the determination methods as included in Appendix 2.2.4.3 'Depillation methods for harmful effects' of VLAREM II must be the results of this study assignment will be included in the new noise action plans for the important roads and important railways. In addition, a social cost-benefit analysis must also be carried out for each measure. The results will ensure better substantiation of the measures and the ambitions that are included in the sound action plans for important roads and railways.
