THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE REPRESENTING MARKET RESEARCH ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS, INVITATION FOR BIDS, OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. NO CONTRACT AWARD WILL RESULT FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. The National Institutes of Health is conducting market research to determine the availability of small businesses capable of fulfilling a Refrigeration Equipment Maintenance and Repair Services requirement for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) located in Research Triangle Park, NC.



The contractor shall furnish complete mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance, including any necessary repair service, and provide 24/7 emergency maintenance/repair services for designated Government-owned environmental chambers (+32c, +4c, and -20c), freezers, ultra-low freezers (-20c and -80c), refrigerators, and ice makers. Emergency Service requires a technician onsite within 2 hours of receiving the call for service. The contractor shall adhere to all Federal, State, and local requirements. Current inventory is approximately 800 Government-owned environmental chambers, freezers, ultra-low freezers, refrigerators, and ice makers.

The small business prime contractor will be required to meet the requirements of FAR Clause 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting, in that “at least 50 percent of the cost of contract performance incurred for personnel shall be expended for employees of the concern.” Your Capability Statement should demonstrate how you plan to meet this requirement.
