This is a Sources Sought Announcement issued by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for informational and planning purposes only. This is NOT a solicitation, nor is it an announcement for a forthcoming solicitation. Submission of any information in response to this notification is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred in providing a response.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service, Southeast Area (SEA), Sugarcane Research Lab located at Houma Louisiana has a need for maintenance services to replace existing plenum caps that are rusted out to preserve the integrity of the roof fan exhaust. Services include but are not limited to: provide all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision necessary to Isolate electrical to existing roof fan. Remove existing rusted plenum caps on two (2) rooftop exhaust fans on the Headhouse; Install new plenum caps on the fans; electrify and test fans and dispose of old plenum caps, as per the Statement of Work (SoW). The project is located at the USDA-ARS-SEA, Sugarcane Research Lab, 5883 USDA Road, Houma, LA. 70360.

This is not a request for quotes, but instead market research to determine interested vendors prior to issuing a solicitation. A determination by the Government on the method of competing this requirement has not been established. The Government will not award a contract based on this Sources Sought Notice or the information received, nor will it reimburse participants for the information they provide.
