This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by Health Shared Services Saskatchewan (“3sHealth”) for the purposes of gathering information about the marketplace in order to assist in the determination of future purchasing options or requirements. Respondents are asked to respond to 3sHealth and provide the information requested below for the GOS, Ministry of Health, Saskatchewan Aids to Independent living (SAIL) Respiratory Equipment Program. Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) and Automatic Positive Airway Pressure (APAP or AutoCPAP) flow generators and ventilators are benefits under the Saskatchewan Aids to Independent Living (SAIL) Respiratory Equipment Program. Currently, records indicate on average 3, 600 devices are provided for home use to patients in Saskatchewan. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information from vendors regarding their flow generator and ventilator respiratory devices to understand the available options and capabilities in the market. This will inform our decision-making process for potential procurement.

Additional Information:
3sHealth on behalf of its Service Recipients desire a greater understanding of the CPAP and AutoCPAP flow generators as well as the ventilator devices available on the Canadian Market, along with the potential of vendors service and support. CPAP and AutoCPAP devices will be used to treat sleep apnea by increasing air pressure in the throat to keep tissues in the airway from collapsing during inhalation. Ventilator devices assist individuals to breathe who are unable to effectively breathe on their own as a result of injury or illness.
